We became the only Siemens reducers service centre in the Baltic States

In March this year, PakMarkas became the official partner in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia authorised to perform maintenance, warranty and post-warranty repairs of Siemens reducers (Germany). The company was granted the Siemens Service Delivery Partner certificate.

Until the present moment there were no official Siemens service partner in the Baltic States.

Eimantas Daunoras, the Head of the Gears and Automation Department, says that this service enables the companies to avoid production downtime due to hardware failure, saves their valuable time and reduces logistics costs.

“Previously, reducers were being sent for repair to Germany, which took up to a couple of weeks. Today, we are providing this service in our company within 1 to 2 days,” emphasizes E. Daunoras.

PakMarkas has been selling Siemens reducers for over 20 years, therefore, becoming the official partner is a pretty natural step. Similar to all large companies, before granting a certificate Siemens made sure that the company has all necessary equipment and trained personnel. Therefore, preparation was started in advance: investments in personnel training, professional development were made. PakMarkas purchased all equipment necessary for carrying out works, the value of which is approximately EUR 50,000, already in 2013.

“When we started providing this service, we have filled a market niche of high demand. We are very pleased that the world's largest electronics company showed confidence in our company and valued the joint efforts,” says E. Daunoras

In five months of 2017, PakMarkas’ sales of gears and automation elements increased by 72% and amounted to EUR 1.3 million. If compared with the same period in 2016, in 2017 export doubled in size.
